On THE NAME OF THIS BOOK IS SECRETBy: Pseudonymous Bosch
~~~
Bosch’s novel was good, but questionable—
In one chapter, he wrote about an
inappropriate manner that had to
do with going to the bathroom (including “Max-Ernest”), which only makes you
wonder “why.” He should know that
his book is a children’s novel, and that he
shouldn’t put the matter in question in
the text—even if it was and adult novel, the
author shouldn’t contaminate the book with it.
I did not like “Cass’s” rudeness—neither
did I like Max-Ernest’s parent’s situation,
and it was not “wise” (as Mr. Bosch put it)
of them to get in a divorce—a strong
couple should work things out.
I also found a similarity between Mr.
Bosch and the famed Lemony Snicket:
The whole “hiding ‘criminal’, and on the
run thing has already been done, and
was done well by Lemony Snicket.”
Both their ideas were different, but Mr. Bosch’s identity was similar.
On the matter of “monkey blood,” Ms. Mauvais’s
drink wasn’t all the way explained.
But in the end I found I was able to read it,
I found parts I did not like, and thought the
plot was a little too odd; but I will admit
I enjoyed it a little, though it could have been cleansed morally.
