I begged mom to assign me this book so I could read two books at once.
I am liking it so far, and think that it is fun how Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy do their plays and stuff.
Sorry I haven't written for a while and that this was short.

Part II of My Review of Lightning Thief
Here are the few things I forgot in my last review--:
- The book starts out like, "IF YOU'RE READING THIS BECAUSE YOU THINGK THAT YOU MIGHT BE ONE, MY ADVICE IS: CLOSE THIS BOOK RIGHT NOW." That is too much like Lemony Snicket. Too many people have been copying that, for example Pseudonymous Bosch.
- When Percy's at a "certain place," he see's that the guy at the front desk is reading a big book with a wizard on it; Harry Potter.
wow...
but I liked it.

The Austere Academy: Book V in A Series of Unfortunate Events
BY: COLEMAN
Though I have already finished this "woeful" but delightful 5th volume in A Series of Unfortunate Events, I thought it deserved a place on this blog. Lemony Snicket's fifth documentation of the Baudelaires' depressing experiences, was one of my favorites of his books.
In this novel, the siblings must enroll at Prufrock Prepratory School. Once there, they are forced to sleep in the "Orphan's Shack," which is a small, tin shack with painted green walls with hearts on it. The school itself has the motto "MEMENTO MORI," which means "Remember, you will die." This pretty much explains the attitude of the teachers and the students and how the siblings are treated. One good thing that happens here is that they meet the Quagmire triplets, whom they befriend. Later a mysterious Coach Genghis turns up-- a person in disguise that the siblings wished never to see again. This leads to an adventure of friendship ending in tragedy....
One of the reasons why I liked this volume is because the Baudelaires finally find friends who can help them. In the previous books, they hardly have anyone to rely on. Mr. Poe, who is supposed to help them, never actually does.
This book is clean, good-humored, and something all should read.

Villette
BY: COLEMAN
I have an urge to read, Villette by Charlotte Bronte.
I'll try it out, and if it's to hard for me, I'll stop--after I read The Lightning Theif.
Charlotte's novel is based on her time in Brussles, where she fell in love with one of her teachers, Constantin Heger .
We'll see if I can read it. I think it looks intersting!

An Act of the Actors? [aka AAA]
BY: COLEMAN
The Twilight movie was a bit cheesy but fun and I really want to see New Moon!
As you know, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are engaged, but is it just their publicist? I don't think that they would go that far, but you never know Hollywood.
***************************************************
The book itself was good, but a little boring for me, and it did have swearing and junk in it. Stephenie Meyer is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints [aka a Mormon] like me, but she does not show her faith in her books; for example Eclipse*. If you've read it you know what I mean.
Oh well... But It's not my place to judge.
________
* I've never read it, only Twilight, but I know a lot about it.
